Sunday Morning, Papineau Creek

This beautiful spot on the Papineau Creek at Maynooth offered so many great painting opportunities that it was difficult to choose which composition to paint. I chose this view because I loved how the sunlight shone through some of the foliage with a beautiful warm yellow light and reflected off other spots harmonizing the whole scene. It was quiet and blissful and I was accompanied by some wonderful painters, Robert Strickland, who led the workshop, and my longtime painting buddies, Marina Laliberte and Sue Simington.
